Select your winner based on your knowledge as a handicapper or your liking for a particular name.

Set a budget

Always remember to gamble responsibly and within your budget while enjoying the unpredictable excitement of horse racing.

Choose your bet type

Choose between betting on a single horse to win, place, or show, or an exotic bet (see Types of Bets).

At the betting window or a self-serve kiosk, specify the race number, bet type, program number, and the amount you want to wager. “Number 3, $5, to win!” Keep your ticket and cash it in should you win!

Place either first or second.

Show:

Placed in any of the top three positions (first, second, or third).

Exacta:

Select two horses to finish first and second.

Trifecta:

Select three horses to finish first, second, and third.

Superfecta:

Select four horses to finish first, second, third, and fourth.

Quinella:

Select two horses to finish first and second in any order.

Daily Double:

Pick the winners of two consecutive races.

Pick 3, Pick 4, Pick 5, Pick 6:

Pick the winners of three, four, five, or six consecutive races, respectively.
